PANTONE has announced the 2021 color of the year: PANTONE 17-5104 Ultimate Gray + PANTONE 13-0647 Illuminating. They are described on their website as “a union of color conveying a message of strength and hopefulness – happiness supported by fortitude. The combination is aspirational giving rise to a feeling that is both enduring and uplifting – a feeling that things are going to get brighter which is essential to the human spirit.”

Custom commissions are welcome and I will be happy to help you select subtle or sparkly gray stones – labradorite, chalcedony, tourmaline, pearl/mother of pearl, moonstone and/or vibrant yellow stones – citrine, golden beryl, chrysoberyl, tourmaline, zircon, fire opal. Some are designated birthstones. Settings are of sterling silver, Argentium silver and/or 18k gold highlight – both Pantone colors.

Arizona Sunset pendant showcases a Citrine Marquise stone surrounded by 18k gold set on roller printed sterling silver with a natural golden study.
This SBJ pendant showcases a perfect Peridot (August birthstone) set in Argentium silver – just imagine a similar design with an illuminating yellow gemstone set in silver or an ultimate gray pearl set in gold.

Throughout the coming year, I’ll be adding new fine art pieces of original design to my website suzannebrownjewelry.com and to my Etsy Shop. Look for combinations of stones and metals that reflect the Pantone Colors for 2021. Combinations that “Embolden the spirit, highlight our innate need to be seen, to be visible, to be recognized, to have our voices heard. Combinations of color whose ties to insight, innovation and intuition, and respect for wisdom, experience, and intelligence inspires regeneration, pressing us forward toward new ways of thinking and concepts.”

May it be so! Happy New Year 2021,
