Here is the lava and pearl ring that I custom made for Kathy and her response.

So I commissioned her to make a similar one. The carved black onyx has the organic quality and the delicate pearl sits on top. A perfect juxtaposition in design.”

Both creativity and lava flows and, if you love lava like I do, these earrings have an inherent special energy. They feature poppy jasper stones in red and black that reminds me of the Lava flow on the Big Island of Hawaii.
They are bezel set with 14K gold bezel wire and set on sterling silver. The bottom stones are carnelian and are set on reticulated silver. Reticulated silver is made by heating the silver and then moving the molten silver across the surface, causing the silver to have an irregular surface, adding texture. The earrings are light and easy to wear but very visual.
Stacy Zepp posted some beautiful creations by Suzanne Brown Jewelry saying, “The lapis pendant I bought on a trip abroad and she created the gorgeous earrings to match. The copper necklace I bought at The Celebration and she made earrings to match. I absolutely love them! Thank you Suzanne for having such talent and creativity!”
