Stones are my inspiration! For me, the first phase in creating a piece of jewelry is selecting the stone(s) and the design follows the inspiration. Photo left: triangular Larimar stones from the Dominican Republic and White Drusy from South Africa. Photo right: setting stones in sterling silver.

Never sketching – always guided by inspiration – in tune and attentively – I combine stones and metals into original pieces of wearable art for you!

Like this breathtaking necklace that I just have to name: CARIBBEAN BIRD! The “eyes” are natural blue zircon gemstones from Southeast Asia. Earrings will be shown on my Suzanne Brown Jewelry website soon.

Inspiration, yes! Yet I have to say – I can also be darn lucky! Sometimes I surprise myself!

Stones deserve a stunning setting and skillful technique is key. Recently, I have been focusing on refining my toggle closures by taking April Bower’s class: Reticulated Toggle Pendant at Art Unraveled 2017. Began this piece in class – finished it in my home studio in Scottsdale. The spectacular stone is Mohave turquoise.

Thanks in advance,
