Portfolio of Modern Antiquities

As I began using a new technique of fusing gold over iron, this came to mind: what we know about ancient societies today is largely from the jewelry created back then. Each artisan transmitted his/her indigenous culture’s influence on the world through art. This idea inspired my limited line of Modern Antiquities – pieces of history to be treasured and passed on to future generations giving my work a greater sense of value and purpose. Only two out of the seven I created are available. A Brazilian orange drusy serves as the centerpiece for the pendant and an Oregon sunstone highlights the cuff – Sunrise and Sunset – certainly a set to set your heart on – for now and forever.
